The CapX Podcast: Can the party go on?

By

The CapX Podcast returns with a rundown of the big stories of 2022 so far – and the only place to start is Downing Street itself, where stories of lockdown gatherings have caused massive political ructions and left the Prime Minister fending off critics on all sides. So what’s next for Boris – and can he hang on in the face of the most sustained criticism of his leadership so far?

As well as the rumbling Partygate stories, we’ll also be discussing the Novak Djokovic visa saga, the Molly Mae Hague pile-on and, of course, tantalising rumours of a new Jeremy Corbyn Party.

To help John and Alys run the rule over the recent political maelstrom we welcomed CapX stalwart Matthew Lesh, formerly of the Adam Smith Institute and now Head of Public Policy at the Institute of Economic Affairs.
